Jumping rope for 10 minutes at a moderate pace is the equivalent to running 1 mile in 12 minutes, cycling 2 miles in 6 minutes, swimming a quarter mile in 12 minutes, 2 sets of tennis, or playing an 18-hole golf course. Before beginning any weight loss or exercise program, you should consult with your physician.
